Blankfort, Michael
(1907-82)
   American novelist, playwright and screenwriter. He was born in New York. He taught psychology at Bowdoin College and Princeton, and worked as a clinical psychologist. He subsequently was a freelance novelist, dramatist and screenwriter. His novel The Juggler portrays the disturbance and eventual recovery of a Holocaust survivor in Israel. Behold the Fire deals with the Nili, a secret group of Palestinian Jews who served as spies for the British.
